stevie wonder has this song called "as" that is one of my top favorite love songs. its got a catchy chorus and the first few verses you think this is stevie singing to his beloved. but about halfway through the song a coarse sounding man starts shouting how we should be passing on love to our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. it caught me off guard the first time i heard it and it got me thinking about love and how it is to be passed on. stevie's conclusion is to pass on love for forever.

i was asked yesterday if i could be any animal what would i be. i said i would be a cheetah because i'd want to run fast. but now that i think about it i would want to be any kind of feline. kitty cat or lion doesn't really matter. as long as i've got 9 lives to spare and 9 chances to live my life to the fullest, i'll be just fine.

i found out i'm going to hawaii for the summer and i'm pretty excited about it. i'm probably not going to be on the same island as my local friends but i'm pretty okay with that.

i'm pretty sure we've all get skeletons in our music library. i know i do (backstreet boys) & we take extra precautions so that we aren't in a situation where people and speakers and your ipod plugged in for the world to hear occurs. but if it does happen, people hear it & then you have to explain why you have it on there (& it's got to be a good reason because heaven forbid they find out that you're secretly obsessed with this terrible-to-some-people-but-lovable-to-you-music). maybe this is only me but my point is that this song and artist are a gem in my book.

i can't believe i admitted my affair with the backstreet boys while proclaiming my love for mr. smith.
